♥ Down the memory lane - Part 1
Memory
Midnight
Not a sound from the pavement.
Has the moon lost her memory
She is smiling alone.
In the lamplight the withered leaves collect at my feet
And the wind begins to moan.
Memory
All alone in the moonlight
I can dream of the old days
Life was beautiful then.
I remember the time I knew what happiness was.
Let the memory live again.
Every street lamp seems to beat a fatalistic warning.
Someone mutters and a streetlamp sputters and soon it will be morning
Daylight - I must wait for the sunrise. I must think of a new life
And I mustn't give in
When the dawn comes tonight will be a memory too.
And a new day will begin.
Burnt out ends of smoky days
the stale cold smell of morning.
A streetlamp dies
another night is over
another day is dawning.
Touch me - it's so easy to leave me.
All alone with the memory
Of my days in the sun
If you touch me you’ll understand what happiness is.
Look a new day has begun
I have been down with the flu and until now, I haven’t fully recovered. I still have the cough and my voice croaks and you can detect that my voice lari pitching or in other words, sengau abis!!! But friends say that it sounds sexy. Ha..ha..
I took a long holiday for Hari Raya Aidiladha and thought that I would just relax and lazed around. But what happened was that I had a fever on Hari Raya Aidiladha and was in bed the whole day! I was really sick and then I realized that I have just been ignoring my health lately.
I really did take full advantage to rest during the holidays. But I was up the next day and started doing things like I was really well! That’s why until today I haven’t fully recovered. On Monday, I was on leave and was on the way to KL – Sogo to be exact! I spent quite a lot on perfume and other things. Well, what can I say; I must admit that it is common among women. J
Anyway, after a long day in KL, I went back to put away the things I bought. And while I was doing that, I came to a box filled with pictures during my schooldays. And I just sat there rummaging the pics and started missing all the sweet memories and my dear friends and even the surrounding!
So, what I’ll do today is to publish some pics in my blog. But of course, I’d have to edit the pics first before I can publish any of them! J Naaaahhh… I don’t think I’ll edit any of them.
This is the first thing you’ll see in front of my school – the pintu gerbang. The lady in this pic is not me. She’s my classmate.
During orientation, we had a kind of like treasure hunt. My group mentor planned this. This pic was taken after the treasure hunt. This place is called Dataran Ilmu. There is a fountain in front and the building in the background is the hall - Dewan Seri Beseri. On the right of the hall, is the teachers’ block. The hill in the background is Bukit Gondol. We used to jog there during PE and from the top, we can see our beloved college - MRSM Beseri and the nearby surrounding. Arrrggghhh.. how I really miss those times.
Sports day – This was my rumah sukan’s uniform for the sports day. Could you imagine wearing baju kurung for the perbarisan? Well, this was because the color of my rumah sukan is yellow, so I don’t know where the idea came from. We dressed up in our school uniforms and the mascot for Rumah Topaz was a bit like Allahyarham Sudirman. Ha..ha.. At the end of the field (which is quite far), you can see the IKM Perlis. We usually mind our own business but during the fasting month, the guys will main perang-perang mercun with the IKM’s students.
Graduation - it is a custom of all MRSM to have a graduation day for their students. And there is the tradition of the batch graduating to give something to the college as a token. So, our batch gave the clock behind us for the farewell token.
Emmm.. there’s a lot more to share. But I don’t have the time now. I will share other photos in Perlis and during my university years sometime later. What I can say is that I really miss all of them - even the places that I have been to. J
