♥ High Spirits
Last night, I watched the repeat of episode 3 from The Amazing Race 6 (can’t remember the exact day when a new episode is aired). I really wanted Lena and Kristy to win this season. I really admired their courage and their way in problem solving, their strategies and the way they handle themselves in this race.
Lena and Kristy – really cool sisters.
I never thought that they’d be eliminated in this legged of the race. They were superb and very competitive. I really like Lena’s gut. She wouldn’t even quit even after she knew that they were the last to reach the pit stop. She just kept on trying to find the clue in the role of hay. She had rolled nearly 100 roles of hay and was extremely exhausted. This was where Phil Keoghan (ehem..ehem.. he is so cute) had to go to the farm at the Roadblock to inform them that they were the last to arrive at the pit stop and they were eliminated. Phil said that this was a hard elimination since the cause of the elimination was because of they weren’t lucky.

We are sometimes lucky in our lives. But we can’t just depend on luck to live our lives. I never really thought that luck do have an influence in our lives. But this episode of the race made me realize about luck.

Lena still rolling hays. The bundles are at the back.
I would not say that luck does have an influence in our lives. I would call luck a different name – takdir. It is more or less the same but it seems more appropriate calling it takdir or rezeki. We will see it in a positive way. We won’t regret so much of the loss of it. We’ve given our best but we can’t have it. So, it was not meant to be for us.
It’s different if you’re leaving it totally to your fate. At least we have to put effort in making it happen. If it doesn’t happen, then it was meant to be that way. I really envied Lena and Kristy’s spirit. I really do hope that I have that kind of spirit.
